collectively recognised today as Shree Anna,
is neither accidental nor episodic. It reflects
a deeper civilisational instinct to return to
food systems that nourish the body, sustain
the land, and honour the farmer. The Hon’ble
Prime Minister’s reflections in the January
2026 'Mann ki Baat', noting that enthusiasm
for millets has remained robust even years
after the International Year of Millets (IYM)
2023, point to a quiet but consequential shift
in public consciousness.
The Significance of the International

The declaration of 2023 as the
