fondly called Rajaji was
unveiled in the Central Court
of Rashtrapati Bhavan on this
grand occasion.
Historical dignity
of India’s first Governor
General : C. Rajagopalachari
was the first Governor
General of Independent
India who strengthened
the democratic and
administrative infrastructure
of our country.
Spirit of selfless service, no lust for power : Rajaji was one among
such rare leaders who never vied for power or any post. For him, his post
was a medium to render selfless service to the people of the country.
Inspiring conduct and an independent thinker : Rajaji’s neat conduct
in public life, his spirit of extreme self discipline and his independent
thinking were amazing. His high values of life are a source of big inspiration
to all Indians, especially our youth even today.
Special exhibition depicting Rajaji’s life : Rajaji Utsav was not confined
to unveiling of his statue and an exhibition based on his unparalleled
contribution in nation building was also organised between 24 February
to 1 March so that people could get to know about his towering stature
and his invaluable contribution in nation building.
