“This time I saw the
Republic Day parade. It
was my big dream to see
the parade. People from
almost ground zero are
not given the chance,
but this government
has made Padma Shri
the People’s Padma.
Modi ji has given us a
chance to be a part of
the national festival. The message is clear that once the people from
grassroots level come to these national festivals and other high profile
programmes, it means people are being heard, people are being cared
for and people are being considered. I also met two Union Ministers of
the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw ji and
Dr L Murgan Sir. They were very close to us, and gave
a warm welcome to us, heard us, and had a good
conversation with us. We shared everything with
them as if we were not talking to Ministers, but the
people who’re caring for us.”
