Dear Kultar,
Today, seeing tears in your eyes filled me with deep
sorrow. There was a lot of pain in your words today.
I cannot bear your tears. My dear, keep pursuing
your education with courage and take care of your
health. Stay strong. And what more can I say? What
poetry shall I write for you? Listen-
“Usey yeh fikr hai hardam naya tarz-e-jafa kya hai
Humein yeh shauq hai dekhei'n sitam ki inteha kya hai”
“Dahr se kyu'n khafa rahei'n charkh ka kyu'n gila karei'n
Saara jahaa'n adu sahi aao muqaabla karei'n”
“Koi dam ka mehmaa'n hoo'n ae ahle-mehfil
Charaagh-e-sahar hoo'n bujha chahta hoo'n”
“Mere hawa mein rahegi khayaal ki bijli
Yeh musht-e-khak hai faani rahe rahe na rahe”
Well, goodbye!
“Khush raho ahle-watan hum to safar karte hai'n”
Stay courageous.
