Building Viksit Bharat through Ideas and Innovation

The dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, or a Developed India, is a collective
national mission. Its most powerful drivers are the nation's young minds,
brimming with fresh perspectives and an untapped zeal to contribute.
Recognising this immense potential, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and
Sports, Government of India, launched a unique platform—the ‘Viksit
Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue’ (VBYLD). As Prime Minister Narendra
Modi has pointed out in the 129th Address of ‘Mann ki Baat’, this initiative
is the direct answer to a common question from the youth: “How can
they share their ideas?”. More than just an event, VBYLD 2.0 represents
a systematic and inclusive process to harness youth innovation for
national progress.
This second edition of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue
(VBYLD 2026) successfully culminated at Bharat Mandapam in New
Delhi on January 12, 2026, coinciding with National Youth Day and the
birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The four-day event provided a
dynamic platform for young leaders to present actionable ideas across
ten critical sectors, including women-led development, sustainable
agriculture, and India's startup ecosystem.
