The ’Prayagraj Mahakumbh’, organised at the beginning of 2025,
saw large-scale participation and administrative coordination. The
growing emphasis on ‘Swadeshi’ is reflected through increased public
preference for domestically manufactured goods. The ‘Dhwajarohan’
ceremony at Ram Mandir, Ayodhya marked a significant religious and
cultural moment towards the end of the year.

Under the ‘Project Cheetah’, the number of
cheetahs in India increased to 30 during the year.
The project forms part of ongoing government-
led efforts towards species restoration, habitat
management and biodiversity conservation.
