India's AI Journey for Inclusive Growth

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, held from February 16 to 20
at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, marked a historic milestone in
the global technological landscape. As the first major AI summit
hosted in the Global South, it signaled a fundamental shift in how
the world perceives Artificial Intelligence. Under the profound theme
of “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya” (Welfare for All, Happiness
for All), the summit moved beyond the abstract fears of artificial
intelligence and focused on measurable developmental outcomes. It
showcased India’s evolution from a mere consumer of digital tools to a
global leader in Sovereign AI, committed to ensuring that the benefits
of innovation are distributed equitably across all layers of society.
Foundational Pillars: The Three Sutras
The summit was anchored on three guiding principles, or ‘Sutras’,
which defined India’s vision for a human-centric technological future.
These principles were designed to ensure that AI serves as a tool for
